Sprite’s a black Morgan stallion that stands about 14.1 hh. His offspring are tending to throw towards the mare's height, and have his gentle disposition and inquisitive attitude.

He is a classic Morgan with good conformation, with strong / full balanced gaits and has a beautiful refined head.

His temperament is excellent, with a kind heart and willingness to learn. Though he is not being ridden at present he has been ridden in the past.

Sprite of course crosses well with Morgans… But also with Pony, Arabian & Thoroughbred mares.

The Morgans of significance in Sprite's pedigree include;

Big Rock A stunning chestnut with a flaxen mane he was 1965 American National Western Champion stallion

Squire Burger A chestnut of Brunk breeding, noted as a show and stock horse, he also had great speed

Congo - 1947 Grand Champion stallion, Illinois State Fair

Mansfield - Lead sire, US Government Morgan Farm

Jubilee King A major Morgan sire of Brunk breeding

Linsley A Major Morgan sire of government breeding for remount stock

Sonfield A much sought after stallion for his bloodlines and proven abilities in stock/western work

Bennington – His influence to the contemporary Morgan is thought by some to be secondary only to Justin Morgan himself

Flyhawk – One of the great sires of the Brunk bloodline. Famous for his cross with Sentola; which produced many top horses, including Stetson. Champion Stallion in 1940 + 1941 at the State Illinois Fair

These and others give him good a Government / Working Western background which is a good heritage for a Sport Horse.

Sprite has a blessed life running with our mares and foals. He has life pretty good, we often think you couldn’t see a more content stallion.

He and the family herd are rotated round the farm with the rest of the stock, giving him and the others good hill work.
